Junior Sales Executive

At Business Show Media, we have been organising trade exhibitions for over 20 years and run Europe’s largest business event, The Business Show. With our headquarters in Bristol, we are expanding rapidly and have just opened our central Bath office.

What’s the opportunity?

You will be responsible for generating new business through sponsorship opportunities and exhibition stand sales on Europe's Leading Business to Business Event with over 40+ editions of prestigious history.

We are looking for ambitious, career driven Sales Executives to join our business with the desire to progress and become an integral member of Business Show Media Ltd.

Job Title: Junior Sales Executive

Job Type: Full time

Salary: £19,000 - £21,000

Main Responsibilities:

  • Proactively utilising multiple methods to identify a strong pipeline of new business
  • Bringing in revenue through selling exhibition stand space & sponsorship opportunities
  • Generating interest through engaging social media content
  • Generating business via cold calling, networking and social selling
  • Working with clients to package their exact exhibition requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong team player
  • Clear and concise communicator
  • Driven and motivated
  • Strategic and proactive thinker
  • Previous sales experience (Ideally as a sales executive or in business development)
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with clients
  • A background in hitting and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience in opening and closing sales

Client Relationship Manager

A Client Relationship Manager’s duty is to support and ensure the main structure and function of the events run smoothly for both the client and organiser. You will build relationships with the exhibitors and partners of the events, in which you will help ensure they are 100% ready for the days of the exhibitions.

Job Type: Full time

Salary: £20,000 - £23,000

Key responsibilities:

  • Main contact for clients to assist with the set-up of the event
  • Regular communication with your clients via virtual meetings or telephone
  • Collect content from clients - newsletter inclusions, social media posts, showguide adverts, payments etc. and distribute to the relevant departments
  • Working with clients to make the most out of their attendance to the show
  • Maintaining the live floorplan, CRM and website
  • General administrative tasks

Required skills:

  • The ability to communicate confidently - both written and verbally
  • Attention to detail
  • Work in an organised and efficient manner
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Team player, who enjoys working in a fast paced environment
  • Strong customer service and client facing skills
  • Large knowledge and experience in IT softwares, Word, Excel, Outlook and Google
  • Manage workload independently

Marketing Assistant

We are looking for a self-motivated and organised individual to join our marketing team as a Marketing Assistant. Based in our central Bristol office, you will be responsible for supporting the marketing team with marketing activities and general administrative tasks.

Job Type: Full time

Salary: £20,000 - £22,000

Responsibilities include:

  • Regularly updating our social media accounts with show information and relevant news
  • Researching the industry to identify potential show partners and speakers and then creating proposals to get them on board
  • Forming relationships with our show partners and ensuring they have all the assets they need to promote the show
  • Writing articles on key themes relevant to the industry and publishing these on our show website
  • Creating marketing emails, sales emails and monthly newsletters
  • Keeping the websites up to date and optimised
  • The ability to create graphics and banners using Canva
  • Using Excel to sort visitor and sales databases and creating reports from this

Experience needed:

  • Positive, enthusiastic self-starter who takes initiative and employs a problem-solving approach
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to design and build relevant, engaging, and informative posts and email communications
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise own workload
  • Comfortable making phone calls and communicating with show partners and speakers via the phone
  • Excellent attention to detail
