C&G 2365 - Level 2  City & Guilds Diploma in Electrical Installations

If you are new to the industry, this follows the recognised route to equip you with the basic skills and experience to work within Commercial, Industrial, Agricultural and Domestic sectors. The qualification covers many areas within the Electro-technical technology. Units include Knowledge of Regulations and the Electrical Science and Technology Needed for Installation Work. It includes practical skills and also looks at health and safety within Building Services Engineering.

What the course covers

201 Health & safety in building services engineering (practical/theory). Includes a multiple-choice exam and practical assessment. 

202 Principles of Electrical Science (mostly theory-based). Includes a C&G online multiple-choice exam.

203 Electrical Installations Technology (mostly theory-based). Includes a C&G online multiple-choice exam.

204 Installation of wiring systems and enclosures (practical/theory). Includes a practical assignment and additional questions. 

210 Communicate with others within Building Services Engineering (practical/theory). Includes a C&G online multi-choice exam.

C&G 2356 Level 3 City & Guilds Diploma in Electrical Installations

If you’ve completed Level 2 or already have relevant experience and knowledge of the industry, the City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 is your next step towards becoming a qualified electrician. It includes a more advanced knowledge of electrical science, inspection and testing procedures, fault diagnosis and rectification, and installation design.​

What the course covers​

301 Understand the requirements of environmental technology systems (mostly theory-based). Includes online multiple-choice exam.

302 Principles of Electrical Science (primarily theory-based). Includes a written assignment and practical tasks.

303 Electrical installations: fault diagnosis and rectification (practical/theory). Includes a written assignment and practical tasks.     

304 Electrical Installations: Inspection, Testing & Commissioning (practical/theory). Includes practical tasks and written paper.

305 Electrical Systems Design (practical and theory). Includes a practical assignment and a written paper

308 Career awareness in building services engineering (primarily theory-based). Includes one written assignment.​

Hands on training for success

All our course trainers have decades of teaching experience. You will learn from a range of training methods including both hands-on installation skills in the workshop as well as theory in our computer-equipped classroom. Practical training includes both Commercial and Domestic installation such as three-phase power systems, armoured cable, steel conduit, pipe bending and trunking.

 

All our City and Guild’s accredited courses include the relevant hand-outs to support your learning. During practical days, we have specific training boards and the tools and materials necessary for your electrical requirements to ensure you are fully prepared for work in the electrical industry.

As outlined above, both Level 2 and Level 3 courses are assessed by a range of methods including online multiple-choice exams, practical assessments, and written assignments.
